BIOGRAPHY
Bako Ambianda is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Bako Group Holdings, a pan-African investment holding company with a diversified portfolio spanning finance, technology, energy, real estate, mobility, and media.
He is also the CEO of Backbone Capital Ventures, a venture capital firm supporting early-stage startups and emerging technology companies across Africa. In addition, he serves as President and CEO of Labacorp Industries, which focuses on financing and developing mineral and energy resources.
Ambianda is the Executive Chairman of ATIGS Network, a global membership organisation promoting international trade and investment in Africa through active chapters worldwide.
With over a decade of experience in international trade, foreign direct investment, and business development, he has played a key role in designing and executing high-impact initiatives that strengthen Africa’s global competitiveness.
He leads Capital Allocators 100, an investment ranking platform, and advises corporations, institutional investors, governments, and development finance institutions on capital allocation and private equity strategies across Africa.
Driven by a commitment to sustainable development, Ambianda advances clean energy and environmental innovation through Bako Group portfolio companies—including Bako Enterprises and Velocity Xperiences (VX Global)—with initiatives in solar energy, electric mobility, clean water solutions, and plastic recycling.
